Landscaping & Construction Supervision

Landscape planning is an instrument for the sustainable development of nature conservation and landscape management, with the aim of combining ecological and economic interests. bioplan can refer to many years of experience in the field of landscape planning. In order to supervise the execution of construction projects in an ecologically compatible manner, we also offer the accompaniment of these projects in order to comply with corresponding requirements.

Services:

Ecological construction support/construction supervision serves to better enforce landscape conservation and nature protection concerns during the realisation of construction projects.

As a rule, external experts with ecological or nature conservation training are entrusted with this task in parallel to the usual engineering construction supervision.

Main areas of application are:

- Projects with interventions in particularly sensitive areas

- Interventions with particularly high species and biotope protection requirements

- Large construction projects with complex protection, avoidance and compensation requirements

Many environmental policy decisions of the state government require a careful collection of basic data. This task cannot always be carried out by the agencies and authorities themselves. In particular, tasks in the triangle of water management - nature conservation - agriculture/fisheries have been supported by bioplan. One focus is currently on surveys and planning within the framework of the EU Water Framework Directive (monitoring, concepts).

Ecological reports are required as a basis for further discussion and approval within the framework of planning approvals or as expert reports for projects relevant to planning approval. We offer expert, problem-oriented expert services, including any necessary surveys of relevant data.

Maintenance and development plans elaborate factual and biotope-related measures for the maintenance and development of protected areas or parts of the landscape worthy of protection. Our focus is on the preparation of watercourse management and development plans.
Our focus is on the preparation of watercourse maintenance and development plans.

Impact assessment The task of an impact compensation plan is to "work through" the impact regulation under nature conservation law for all projects that are associated with impacts in the sense of nature conservation law and are not realised through urban land use planning. In essence, an impact compensation assessment is carried out and the scope of compensation measures is determined. We offer you both the preparation of the plan and any necessary surveys and mapping services.

The landscape conservation plan is the legally prescribed term (§8(4)BNatSchG) for an impact compensation plan for projects that require plan approval. The essential contents are the determination of the type and extent of interventions in nature and landscape and the derivation of measures for the mitigation, compensation and replacement of these interventions. We offer you both the preparation of the plan and any necessary surveys and mapping services.

Most larger construction projects are subject to EIA, i.e. as part of the approval procedure, the investor must submit an expert opinion that describes and evaluates all consequences of the construction project on the environment (water, soil, air, animals, plants) but also on social aspects. As a rule, different implementation variants (e.g. different routes for road construction) are also compared with a presentation of all advantages and disadvantages. We offer you the competent and goal-oriented implementation of environmental impact studies.

Especially in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania there are numerous areas with a high nature conservation status. Planning in these areas requires a profound ecological understanding and biological expertise.
